Banner Box were able to supply the events interview area backdrop – a must at most events ideal for live streaming event updates. The interview area featured a 3m x 2m printed JetFlag banner. The single sided banner simply hemmed and eyeletted, meaning it can be moved into position on event day with ease. The beauty of this sort of backdrop is its lightweight and adaptability should it need to be moved or altered slightly it’s not a problem with a fabric design.

Alongside this we were able to supply two other large printed panels which were used as route maps by the athletes. This proved a great solution as the banners were simply put in position on the day and proved an easy to spot item for competitors. The banner was mounted onto heras fencing which gave the perfect height for the banner.

Additional to these race day essentials Banner Box printed 400m of Salford Triathlon branded banners. These were packaged in 50m lengths and were in a perforated mesh material often associated with big outdoor events. The perforation is ideal for mounting the banners onto the crowd barriers used it also minimises wind resistance ensuring the banners stay upright in higher winds.

Overall a successful event and one we certainly enjoyed been a part of – Salford has managed to secure itself as a real crowd-pleaser in the triathlon world. The event hosts races designed for many groups and at multiple distances. Its versatility making it a popular choice with triathletes who are fairly new to the intensive event. We hope to get the call ahead of next year’s event – I certainly enjoyed photographing this one and the sporting occasion.
